Sustainable Living by Andjela

Living with Nature, Not Just in It

At FitCamp Montenegro, nature isn’t just a backdrop – it’s our way of life. Here, under star-filled skies and surrounded by untouched landscapes, sustainability happens naturally. We collect rainfall for water, compost our food waste, and respect the land that sustains us. Every small action is part of a bigger cycle – one that keeps us connected to the earth in a way that feels both grounding and freeing.

Andjela, the founder of FitCamp Montenegro, leading the Naturopathy and Sustainability workshops

Permaculture is at the heart of what we do. We plant, grow, and harvest in harmony with nature, without disturbing the delicate ecosystems around us. Seeding with intention, observing how plants and wildlife interact, and working with nature rather than against it – this is how we create abundance without excess. The land teaches us patience, resilience, and balance, and in return, we care for it with the same love and respect it gives us.

But living well isn’t just about what we grow – it’s also about how we heal. Naturopathy, the ancient art of natural medicine, reminds us that true well-being is a balance of body, mind, and spirit. From the food we eat to the air we breathe, from movement to rest, everything plays a role in our health. In a world that often pulls us away from our natural rhythms, reconnecting with simple, time-tested practices can be transformative.

At FitCamp, you’ll experience this firsthand – nourishing yourself with real food, moving with purpose, and embracing the rhythms of nature. Sustainability isn’t just about the environment; it’s about sustaining yourself in a way that feels whole and fulfilling.

Come, breathe it in, feel the earth beneath you, and remember – nature has always known the way.

Mindfulness by Kristina

Your Personal Journey to the Present Moment

Have you ever caught yourself lost in thoughts about the past or worrying about the future? Mindfulness is the ability to stay fully present, noticing and experiencing life as it unfolds.

Kristina, the FitCamp Montenegro psychologist, leading the Mindfulness Workshop

The benefits? Reduced anxiety, better sleep, less stress, and an overall improved quality of life. It helps you stay centered, focused, and better equipped to handle daily challenges. But mindfulness isn’t about eliminating stress – it’s about learning how to navigate it with awareness and ease.

At FitCamp Montenegro, we believe mindfulness should be simple, practical, and sustainable. You already have everything you need – your body, breath, and awareness. The key is learning how to use them to stay present, no matter what’s happening around you.

Immersing yourself in an activity – whether movement, breathing, or time in nature – naturally shifts your focus away from stress. And that’s exactly what we do at FitCamp.

Here, nature is an essential part of your mindfulness journey. Walking barefoot on our Barefoot Trail, hiking the Heart Trail in silence or conversation, or meditating under the stars – these experiences deepen your connection to the present moment.

Your Personal Mindfulness Toolbox

The best part? You won’t leave empty-handed. Every guest creates a Mindfulness Map – a simple, personalised system to integrate mindfulness into daily life. So, no matter where you go, you’ll have the tools to stay grounded, present, and truly connected.

Are you ready to begin?

Holistic Nutrition by Biljana

Nourishing the Whole You

Have you ever thought about food as more than just what’s on your plate? Holistic nutrition is about balance – nourishing not just your body but also your mind and emotions. Everything we take in – through food, air, sunlight, social connections, and even the energy around us – shapes who we are.

Before we talk about what to eat, let’s redefine food. To me, food is anything that nourishes us. And toxins? Anything we absorb that doesn’t serve us – whether from processed foods, stress, or even the negativity we expose ourselves to.

Biljana, the FitCamp Montenegro Holistic Nutritionist, leading the Nutrition Workshop

What Truly Feeds You?

Nutrition isn’t just about calories and vitamins. It includes:

  • 🌿 The air we breathe
  • ☀️ Time spent in the sun and nature
  • 💛 The energy we absorb from people and places
  • 📖 The information we take in – books, music, social media

All of this impacts our health as much as the food we eat.

How to Start Your Nutrition Journey

Instead of strict rules, I encourage small, sustainable shifts:

  • 🥕 Eat Whole Foods – Minimise processed foods to keep essential nutrients intact.
  • 🌈 Choose Seasonal Variety – Different colours offer different benefits – eat the rainbow!
  • 🍽 Practice Mindful Eating – Slow down, savour your food, and avoid distractions.
  • 📚 Stay Curious – Learn about nutrition and listen to what your body truly needs.

At FitCamp Montenegro, I love sharing simple yet powerful nutrition insights – often in nature, where we connect on a deeper level. And because food is meant to be enjoyed, we always wrap up with a hands-on session, preparing nourishing meals together.

Holistic nutrition is a journey – let’s take it one mindful bite at a time!

Yoga & Breathing by Tamara

The Art of Balance

Yoga is more than movement – it’s a way of life, a journey back to balance. Thousands of years old, this practice teaches us to reconnect with what we truly are: body, mind, spirit, and energy. Through asanas (physical postures), breathing techniques, and meditation, we restore equilibrium, learning to move, breathe, and live with greater awareness.

Tamara, the FitCamp Montenegro Yoga Instructor, leading Yoga, Meditation and Breathing Classes

When was the last time you truly listened to your body? Yoga invites you to do just that. Each stretch, each breath, reveals something new. The more we move with intention, the more we recognise the signals and energy blockages we often ignore. As our bodies become more fluid, so do our thoughts and emotions. A relaxed body fosters a relaxed mind – and isn’t that what we all seek?

Breath is more than just air – it’s life itself. By mastering our breath, we channel prana (life energy), allowing it to nourish, cleanse, and energise us. Breathing techniques help regulate stress, emotions, and energy levels, giving us a tool we can carry beyond the yoga mat into everyday life.

Now, imagine practising yoga under the open sky, feeling the earth beneath you, surrounded by the rhythm of nature – birds singing, leaves rustling, the wind carrying your breath. That’s the essence of our yoga practice at FitCamp Montenegro.

Nature grounds us, pulling us out of our busy minds and into the present moment. Here, spirituality unfolds effortlessly, and healing happens naturally.

I’ll be here to guide your practice, but true yoga isn’t just what happens on the mat – it’s the connection you continue to nurture long after the class ends. And if you’re reading this, your journey has already begun.

As we roll out 2025, our guiding principles are woven into ten powerful slogans that define our mission. Each one encapsulates an essential element of our approach—whether reconnecting with nature, building a conscious community, or embracing mindful living.

1. Reconnect with Nature, Redefine Yourself

Nature is not just a place – it’s a feeling, an energy, and a guide. At FitCamp, we invite you to step away from the noise of everyday life and rediscover your true self through the serenity of untouched landscapes. Hiking, foraging, and simply breathing in the fresh air can shift your perspective and rejuvenate your soul.

Our perfect program for this is here.

2. Heal in Nature, Live with Purpose

We are all part of nature, and when we embrace this connection, healing begins – physically, mentally, and emotionally. Whether through grounding exercises, movement practices, or simply sitting beneath an ancient tree, nature helps us find clarity and purpose in our lives.

Our women’s retreat could be the best program to sense all the above. Check it out here.

3. Belong to Nature, Thrive in Community

We thrive when we are surrounded by people who share our values. FitCamp is not just a retreat – it’s a growing community of individuals who cherish nature, seek balance, and want to create meaningful connections. Here, you’ll find a home among like-minded souls who share your journey.

If you are a digital nomad travelling the world, just contact us and book your stay here in the stunning natural environment of Montenegro.

4. Living the Joy of Missing Out (JOMO)

In a world that constantly demands more of us, we celebrate the power of slowing down. JOMO (Joy of Missing Out) is about embracing a simpler, more intentional life – one that prioritises presence overpressure and authenticity over appearances. Step away from the screens and into the beauty of the moment.

In case you are looking for a perfect program for your team building, to disconnect while reconnecting, our Unplug Detox Retreat can be the best choice.

5. A Journey to Mindful Living

Mindfulness is a practice, a way of being. Through our retreats, we help you cultivate awareness, stillness, and self-care. With holistic nutrition, movement, meditation, and immersive experiences, FitCamp is a place where you can develop lifelong habits that nurture your wellbeing.

Join us this year for the MindfulSefness Women Retreat. Click here to find out more.

6. Pause, Breathe, Transform

Sometimes, transformation begins with a single breath. By pausing, we give ourselves the space to listen, to reflect, and to realign. FitCamp is your invitation to step away from stress, take a deep breath, and step into a more balanced, fulfilled version of yourself.

Travelling solo for self-reflection and discovery? This is the perfect program for you.

7. Grow with Nature, Live Sustainably

We believe in working with nature, not against it. From our permaculture gardens to our eco-friendly practices, we show that sustainability isn’t just an idea – it’s a lifestyle. By growing our own food, minimising waste, and respecting the land, we create a model of living that is regenerative and kind to the earth.

To join our daily events dedicated to mindful living and permaculture, stay tuned by following us on Instagram.

8. Sustain Yourself, Sustain the Earth

Your wellbeing and the health of the planet are deeply connected. When we nourish ourselves with whole foods, move in harmony with our surroundings, and respect natural cycles, we create a sustainable way of living. At FitCamp, we teach how self-care and earth care go hand in hand.

Read more about the holistic nutrition and whole-food eating that our team is practising.

9. Find Balance, Build Connection, Be Whole

Balance is more than a buzzword – it’s a way of life. Through movement, mindfulness, and meaningful interactions, we create an environment where you can find equilibrium between work, rest, play, and personal growth. This balance allows you to feel whole, present, and truly alive.

We know that this program would be a perfect choice for you to rewind.

10. Nature’s Wisdom, Your Wellbeing

Nature has been our greatest teacher for centuries. When we listen, observe, and align ourselves with its rhythms, we unlock a deeper sense of wellbeing. FitCamp is a space where ancient wisdom meets modern practices, allowing you to live in harmony with yourself and the world around you.

Join Us in 2025 to Feel This

When we started FitCamp Montenegro at its location in the heart of Montenegro, we promised to keep enriching the property along the way, so our visitors and guests could enjoy the same way we do and explore the nature surrounding us. This sort of enrichment is the creation of our trails well-tucked in nature – one in the middle of the forest and the other in the secluded valley.

In a world driven by screens and schedules, the Heart and Barefoot Trails at FitCamp Montenegro offer a serene escape, where nature heals, grounds, and inspires. These trails aren’t just paths through nature – they’re an invitation to reconnect with the earth and ourselves.

The Science of Healing with Nature

Have you ever heard of the nature-healing concept? No, it wasn’t invented by us at FitCamp, it’s a globally known thing, present mostly in the countries which put a lot of effort into maintaining and improving the general well-being of their citizens.

For instance, shirin-yoku is a concept of forest bathing, derived from Japanese, first coined in 1982 by Tomohide Akiyama the former director of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. It is a practice or process of therapeutic relaxation where one spends time in a forest or natural atmosphere, focusing on sensory engagement to connect with nature. There are written proofs that humankind has been practising this concept from ancient times, through the Middle Ages until today.

In Finland, The Finnish Forest Association organises activities focused on well-being and mind and body recovery for various groups, companies, and communities.

In Japan, Shinrin-yoku was developed as a response to the increasing urbanisation and technological advancements and was put forth to inspire the Japanese public to reconnect with nature as a means to protect the forests.

In South Korea, they opened the Saneum National Recreational Forest in 2009. Since then, they have opened numerous and by 2020, there were 32 therapeutic forests in South Korea.

In the USA, the U.S. Forest Service certified guides for the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. These certified guides conduct 2-hour sessions in El Yunque Rainforest where they bring along participants to experience the powerful effect of forest therapy.

This is what the FitCamp Montenegro crew craves to show and practise with our guests and visitors. The powerful time in nature and the so-called forest bathing help reduce stress and anxiety, boost your immune system and mental clarity and improve cardiovascular health. The nature-healing or forest bathing involves:

  • Listening to forest sounds, i.e. birds and insects
  • Touching the ground, the trees, and the leaves
  • Smelling the flowers and other essential oils of the plants and trees
  • Observing the surroundings and scenery
  • Tasting the crispiness of the air while breathing.

Give us a chance to give you these sensations by passing our wonderous trails in nature.

Barefoot Trail: Grounding and Sensory Healing

Our Barefoot Trail is an immersive journey designed to reconnect you with nature through sensory stimulation. The trail features 5 different surfaces – cool pebbles, sand, pine cones, moss and dry branches – each carefully curated to awaken your senses and provide a unique grounding experience. Guests often describe walking the trail as invigorating and soothing, as it gently massages the feet and encourages mindfulness with every step.

Walking barefoot, also known as grounding or earthing, has been scientifically linked to a range of health benefits:

  • Improved Sleep – Direct contact with the earth helps regulate your body’s circadian rhythm.
  • Reduced Inflammation – The Earth’s natural electrons neutralise free radicals, alleviating inflammation and pain.
  • Enhanced Circulation and Sensory Awareness – Stimulating the soles of your feet promotes better blood flow and reawakens nerve endings, boosting overall vitality.

One of our guests, Lyna, described her experience: “Walking the Barefoot Trail felt like a reset button for my mind and body. Each step reminded me to slow down and appreciate the simple, grounding beauty of nature. By the end, I felt more connected – not just to the earth, but to myself.”

If you wondered why would someone even walk barefoot, here are just a few benefits:

  • It reconnects you to the earth’s natural energies.
  • It enhances your body-mind awareness.
  • It promotes a calming, meditative state.

Heart Trail: Walking for Emotional and Physical Well-being

The Heart Trail at FitCamp is a serene, approx. 1-km circular path that elegantly winds around the property, offering a mindful escape into nature. This trail was a collective effort – marked with care and joy by our team, guests from Germany, and a volunteer from Uruguay, all accompanied by the calming presence of our loyal dogs Arya and Sivi, including our guests’ furry companion, Bayley.

What makes the Heart Trail stand out is its distinctive markers: hearts instead of the standard hiking circles. This creative choice gave the trail its name, but the symbolism runs deeper. The hearts are a reminder of the trail’s purpose: to help visitors reconnect with nature and themselves, from the bottom of their hearts. Walking the Heart Trail is a gentle invitation to feel the love that flows between humans and the natural world, fostering mindfulness and appreciation with every step.

Beyond its aesthetic charm, the Heart Trail offers tangible emotional and physical benefits. Mindful walking along this path creates a space for reflection, emotional healing, and simply enjoying the silence. Physically, walking the trail can enhance cardiovascular health, improve joint mobility, and revitalise your overall sense of well-being.

The trail’s natural diversity makes it an ideal venue for FitCamp workshops, including mindfulness, meditation, and yoga sessions. Currently offering a serene walking experience, the Heart Trail is a growing project. Plans are underway to establish activity stations along the route, enhancing its role as a haven for personal growth and exploration.

Walking the Heart Trail isn’t just a stroll through the forest – it’s a step toward inner balance, community connection, and a profound love for nature’s simple gifts.

Nature and Well-being: A Holistic Approach

At FitCamp Montenegro, the Heart Trail and Barefoot Trail are more than just paths through nature – they represent complementary journeys toward a balanced, mindful, and sustainable way of living. Each trail offers a distinct experience while together forming a holistic practice aligned with FitCamp’s philosophy of well-being, connection, and ecological harmony.

The Barefoot Trail invites you to embrace the earth through grounding, stimulating your senses, and rejuvenating your body as you connect with natural textures and energies. The Heart Trail, on the other hand, provides a sanctuary for reflection, emotional healing, and mindful movement. Together, they embody the synergy of physical, emotional, and spiritual renewal.

Walking these trails reminds us of the beauty and simplicity of coexisting with nature – a principle at the core of a sustainable lifestyle. Your journey through FitCamp’s estate becomes a deeper connection to the earth, to yourself, and to the vibrant community we nurture here. Together, these trails are pathways to life more mindful, more connected, and more aligned with nature’s wisdom.

Take the first step on our path to healing, mindfulness, and connection by walking the Heart and Barefoot Trails. Pair your trail explorations with our mindfulness and nutrition workshops, guided nature walks, or yoga sessions to amplify your experience.

Book your stay for 2025 and be among the first to explore these unique paths designed to inspire a more mindful and sustainable lifestyle.

At FitCamp Montenegro, our commitment to sustainability and responsible tourism drives everything we do. If you’re reading us for the first time, check out our development goals here. Recently, our efforts were recognised by Euro Cluster Rural Tourism (ECRT) as part of the COSME project, which helped us introduce innovative enhancements to our services that benefit both our guests and the local environment.

Overview of Improvements

Thanks to ECRT’s support, we implemented several key initiatives:

  • Creation of the Barefoot Trail
  • Achievement of Bike-Friendly Standard
  • Development of a Recycling Yard and Community Education
  • Preservation of the Visit Dark Skies license for Stargazing

Let’s dive deeper into the details of each initiative and service that we improved or introduced.

Creation of the Barefoot Trail

Inspired by successful models in Germany and the Netherlands, our new Barefoot Trail deepens our guests’ connection with nature, seamlessly integrating with our holistic well-being programs.

If this concept is new to you and you think we’re crazy (again), here are some reasons why walking barefoot or practising grounding/earthing is beneficial:

🌿 Naturally improves eyesight (believe it or not)

🌿 Relieves stress

🌿 Keeps feet healthy

🌿 Promotes better sleep

🌿 Removes negativity

🌿 Builds mindfulness and enhances sensory experience.

You can also read the article that Andjela, our founder, wrote for Green Destinations here.

This amazing new service allowed us to clean up another part of our property that hadn’t been used before, enrich our offerings, improve the quality of our Mindfulness Classes with Kristina, and much more. We even installed a badminton court next to the trail and created a BBQ area, making it our favourite spot to spend a relaxed day in nature with a variety of activities.

Bike-Friendly Standard

Considering our love for nature and environmental preservation, the bicycle is definitely one of the transport modes we value most. Additionally, being located along one of Montenegro’s top cycling trails gave us extra motivation to pursue the regional Bike-Friendly Standard, positioning FitCamp as a welcoming destination for cyclists.

Your bicycles will be safe with us in our equipped storage while you enjoy nature and rest in one of our apartments or our camping zone. We can also assist you with basic bike maintenance, providing spare parts, bike washes, or simple repairs.

This Bike-Friendly Standard is regionally recognised throughout the Balkans. If you’re cycling in this area, feel free to check out the list of places that can support your cycling holidays in Montenegro or the Balkans.

Benefits of Cycling Holidays:

  • Promotes health and wellness
  • Reduces carbon footprint: Biking is a zero-emission mode of transport, helping to combat climate change
  • Minimises traffic congestion
  • Supports local economy and enhances community engagement: Cyclists are more likely to stop at local businesses, boosting the local economy and fostering community connections
  • Preserves natural surroundings
  • Encourages sustainable tourism
  • Improves mental well-being: Regular cycling reduces stress, anxiety, and depression, contributing to better mental health
  • Increases accessibility.

Recycling Yard and Local Community Education

Facing numerous issues with waste disposal in our local community (and in the city and country in general), we’ve developed a small Recycling Yard to meet our operational needs and benefit the local community. Thanks to the support we received, we were able to take several actions to make this happen:

  • Educational workshop for the local municipality and community
  • Purchase of necessary waste separation bins
  • Formation of compost zones in various locations on our estate.

An educational workshop, led by eco-travel expert Kirsi Hyvaerinen, gathered villagers, local municipality representatives, and small travel businesses from the area. It was a great opportunity to brainstorm and emphasize the importance of waste disposal, recycling, and composting, fostering a culture of sustainability. A local portal, Omladina, supported our story; you can see it at this link.

Our Recycling Yard, located at the parking lot, is now available for us, our guests, and our nearby neighbours, who will separate waste with us and hopefully learn more about reuse and composting. Together, we aim to create a better future for our village and country by introducing the concept of a sustainable lifestyle.

Preservation of Visit Dark Skies Stargazing

As one of only three businesses in Montenegro with an official Visit Dark Skies Stargazing license, we’ve extended this license thanks to ECRT’s support, allowing us to continue minimising light pollution and promoting the beauty of unpolluted night skies.

We can’t wait to welcome you so you can experience the Milky Way with your own eyes and enjoy the stunning audio guide that leads you through the starry night.

Impact and Outcomes of Our Collaboration with Euro Cluster Rural Tourism

  • Empowered Local Community: Our workshop and recycling yard have educated the local community, creating environmentally conscious citizens who value sustainability.
  • Enhanced Waste Management: The recycling yard has improved waste management practices, reducing environmental hazards.
  • Promotion of Dark Skies: Our stargazing experiences highlight Montenegro’s pristine night skies, attracting nature enthusiasts and photographers.
  • Combating Climate Change: Our sustainability efforts contribute to climate change mitigation on a micro level.

Conclusion

The support from Euro Cluster Rural Tourism has been instrumental in improving FitCamp Montenegro’s services during 2024 and beyond. We’re grateful for the opportunity to enhance our offerings and contribute to sustainable tourism in Montenegro. Above all, we are proud to be recognized by the European community that shares our vision for sustainable tourism development.

Visit us to experience these improvements firsthand and join us on our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future.

In the light of welcoming our MindfulSelfness Women Retreat, we wanted to share some beautiful insights into our nutritionist’s world. Let us guide you through Bilyana’s responses and give you a glimpse of what you can expect when joining us on this feminine journey of self-discovery.

FitCamp: Can you tell us more about holistic nutrition and its approach?

Bilyana:

Holistic nutrition, although primarily focused on nutrition, is, in fact, a lifestyle approach that views the individual as a whole — a unity of body, mind, and spirit. It emphasizes the importance of balancing various aspects of health, including diet, lifestyle, environment, emotions, and spirituality.

Holistic nutrition recognises that each person has unique nutritional needs and preferences based on factors such as age, gender, genetics, health status, and lifestyle. There are several principles of holistic nutrition, including the consumption of whole foods, individuality, mindful eating, and prevention and healing through a balanced lifestyle.

In short, it can be summarised as follows:

  • Focuses on the consumption of whole, minimally processed foods that are nutrient-dense and provide a wide range of vitamins, minerals, fibre, antioxidants, and phytonutrients.

  • Respects the fact that different people may have different responses to the same foods.

  • Encourages awareness and mindfulness during eating, paying attention to hunger and fullness cues, noticing flavours and textures, and fostering a positive relationship with food.

It is important to note that nutrition is just one aspect of overall well-being, and promoting balance in other areas such as physical activity, stress management, sleep, and social connections is also part of the holistic nutrition approach. Lastly, holistic nutrition supports the body’s natural ability to heal and prevent disease through proper dietary and lifestyle interventions. Overall, it emphasizes the importance of nourishing the whole person for long-term health benefits and wellness.

FitCamp: How did you start practising it, and what led you to plant-based nutrition?

Bilyana:

My journey began a decade ago when I was dealing with certain health issues that had plagued me since my teenage years. Specifically, I suffered from significant hormonal imbalances, resulting in a complete loss of my menstrual cycle, which was initially misdiagnosed as PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and later remained undiagnosed for some time. Despite the inability of standard medicine to identify the root cause of the problem or provide a diagnosis, I underwent various treatments with numerous medications in hopes of finding a solution.

However, not only did these medications fail to alleviate my symptoms, but they also worsened my condition. Little did I know then the potential dangers of prescribed drugs and the importance of identifying the underlying cause rather than merely treating the symptoms.

That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands. I ceased using medications and delved into researching more about myself. I began to realise that I am much more than my body and that every symptom is, in fact, a form of communication within different aspects of my being. I discovered the healing power of food, which eventually led me to complete a course in holistic nutrition and reach where I am today. I shifted my perspective, altered my diet, incorporated practices that promote healing for both my body and soul, and allowed my spirituality to guide me. I began to listen to myself more attentively. There is always room for improvement, and I am fully aware of that fact. I am not perfect, nor will I ever be, and I am not meant to be. I am here to learn from every person and every situation, to explore my potential, and to embrace everything that life presents, as each aspect serves its purpose.

Today, I no longer suffer from the hormonal imbalances that troubled me before. Once informed by doctors that I would have to rely on medications for life and that conceiving children without medical assistance would be challenging, I have proven them wrong. My hormones are in balance, and I am proud to be called ‘mom’.

This is the message I wish to impart: we all possess the power within us. While the journey may be long and difficult at times, it is always achievable, regardless of the goal.

Bilyana, FitCamp Nutritionist

FitCamp: What is your promise to the MindfulSelfness retreat participants?

Bilyana:

I genuinely believe that participants will create unforgettable memories, learn how to practically implement everything we share with them throughout these five days, experience our hospitality, and more importantly, gain a deeper understanding of themselves and transform the way they perceive life.

Regarding the nutritional aspect of the retreat, it can be divided into two parts. Every day, our guests will have the opportunity to enjoy nutrient-dense meals prepared by myself using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, but most importantly, based on the principles of a whole-food, plant-based diet.

We will have the chance to meet in person on the first day, during which we will conduct a practical Mindful Eating Workshop. This workshop is something they can continue to practice every time they eat thereafter. Mindful eating is crucial when it comes to adopting a healthy approach to nutrition. On the same day, participants will have the opportunity to prepare one meal together with me. Engaging in the preparation of our food enhances our understanding of what we eat, fosters a greater appreciation for it, and encourages mindfulness, leading to better choices when preparing meals from scratch. While it may not always be feasible to do so, the awareness of its significance and efforts to make it a habit are steps in the right direction.

This retreat will provide you with a fresh perspective, offering you a unique experience and opportunities to learn through various practical workshops and exercises led by individuals who embody these lifestyle principles and are eager to share their experiences with you. I invite you to be open to embracing the good things in life. Opportunities abound for those who seek them!

Here, we forge connections that extend beyond the retreat and not only with nature! The all-feminine environment creates a unique bond, nurturing friendships that endure. Shared experiences, from nature hikes to various workshops, lay the foundation for a supportive network that transcends the confines of the retreat, enriching your life long after the event concludes.

REASON 4 – Triple-Pleasure Learning

MindfulselfNess Women Circle will show you creative expression through Poetry, Writing & Voice Therapy – or precisely, we will awaken the best in you and help you re-connect to yourself. Unlocking your creativity through the therapeutic power of poetry and writing will engage you in expressive exercises that encourage self-reflection and personal growth, fostering a deeper connection with your inner self.

Following our Mindfulness Workshop, designed to teach you the art of living in the moment and effective time management, will show you the valuable skills we cherish, and will not only enhance your retreat experience but empower you to lead a more balanced and fulfilling life beyond.

Throughout this journey, we will guide you on a culinary voyage guided by our holistic nutritionist, offering delicious and nourishing plant-based meals. Even if you typically include meat in your diet, our retreat encourages a healthy and diverse approach to food that can benefit you after the retreat. Take this opportunity to explore new flavours and discover the benefits of a nature-centric lifestyle.

REASON 5 – Flow of Energy

Experience the profound energy of a women-only circle. Our retreat aims to tap into the collective power of feminine energy, creating a supportive and transformative environment where you can freely express, connect, and grow.

REASON 6 – Sustainable Living

If you have any environmental and social awareness, we are sure that your vacations in 2024 will be with the purpose. Our MindfulSelfNess Women Retreat can easily be your treat!

On the other hand, for us, it is one more person who understands and appreciates nature, or at least wants to learn how to. During your self-grow moments, we will also guide you through our sustainable lifestyle, hopefully teaching you how to live a more quality life and at the same time respect nature more than ever.

We can’t wait to discuss our achievements together while enjoying a cup (or three) of our home-produced herbal teas.

Solo travel or nomadic lifestyle is an adventure that allows you to explore the world on your own terms, rejuvenate your spirit and connect with nature. At FitCamp Montenegro, we understand the value of this experience and offer a unique place for solo travellers seeking self-sustainability, nature healing, and a memorable escape. Let us give you some reasons why:

1. A Commitment to Self-Sustainability

At FitCamp Montenegro, we’re dedicated to living in harmony with nature. Our commitment to self-sustainability is reflected in our eco-friendly practices. We’re on a journey to switch to solar and wind energy for electricity production and utilise rainfall to supply our facilities. This winter, we are starting a small recycling yard for our nearest community.

All our visitors can join us in following simple rules that help us reach self-sustainability and learn how to be a responsible friend to the environment.

We love learning from you, too. Don’t hesitate to share and apply your knowledge and experience.

2. Nature Healing for Mind and Body

In today’s fast-paced world, the importance of reconnecting with nature for overall health and well-being cannot be overstated. FitCamp Montenegro’s mission is to guide you on a journey of nature healing. Solo travellers and/or nomads can experience the rejuvenating effects of nature, with our programs designed to help you unwind, recharge, and rediscover the joy of missing out (JOMO).

3. Tailored Programs for Personal Growth

Our programs are carefully curated to help you embrace the present moment and explore the beauty of Montenegro. Solo visitors can delve into activities guided by experienced instructors and coaches, allowing you to reconnect with your inner-self and find joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Don’t worry, we do individual programs too. With us, you don’t have to worry if there are enough people who applied, we can organise our programs just for you if you prefer that.

4. A Mediterranean Secret

Montenegro’s breathtaking landscapes, pristine beaches, and charming villages are among the Mediterranean’s best-kept secrets. As a solo traveller, you have the opportunity to explore this hidden gem and create lasting memories while improving your lifestyle in a natural environment.

5. Consciousness of Health and Mental Wellbeing

Our facilities and the serene natural setting offer the perfect setting for reviving your consciousness of health and mental well-being. Our team can teach you how to escape the stresses of modern life, unwind, and recharge your energy levels.

6. A Vacation to Remember

FitCamp Montenegro’s goal is to elevate your vacation experience. You’ll not only enjoy the serene beauty of our location but also immerse yourself in a community of like-minded individuals who appreciate the value of nature and conscious living.

Co-living at FitCamp Montenegro is not just a regular stay where you rent an apartment and live on your own. It is, actually, much more fun as we take the word ‘coliving’ for granted. We can only be happy with our experiences so far, so we decided to share more with all of you out there seeking your new home abroad.

Common Sense

Sharing is caring, in the full meaning of that phrase! Not that we only share our house with you; the sharing is the least material here. It starts when you step your foot on our estate and never ends. The common sense that we are sharing is just one of the characteristics that make us, hosts, and you, guests, close to each other. And when the brainstorming on this topic starts, the ideas are inexhaustible. Nobody can stop us!

The most emotional part is seeing how you care about our progress, compassionately offering all your help and knowledge. This brings us to your…

Home Abroad

…and FitCamp it really is. That is how we feel with all of you who stayed with us so far – our house is your house! We take care of it together, we share ideas for improvements, we support each other in hard and beautiful moments, we explore, we create, and we produce… All is possible when the right people choose you! And there isn’t anybody more grateful than us for this fact. You attract what you radiate – we guess.

Thinking of all the requests we received so far, and only a number of these turned out to be reservations… But, all that turned into stays were indeed special experiences. For these people, FitCamp Montenegro will always have its door open, and we hope to rank high among your favourite homes abroad.

Friendships

Not only our guests, but also our volunteers are out-of-this-world people, and we are so happy that they choose us. Somehow, we ended up being friends with most of them, and we keep in touch, share important moments of life, and check upon each other. We can’t be grateful enough for all the great things they did for us during their stay. Even our dogs had their furry companions joining us and it was immense happiness.

What comes very true in our adult years is that friends simply recognise each other. Even when you lose some of your childhood friendships, these compensate quite a lot and, in reality, show you what conscious friendship means. Additionally, it is so beautiful to share our lifestyle with all-around the world visitors and see our similarities.

Helping Hands

Our co-living guests and volunteers weren’t just friends who supported us verbally. They were our helping hands on the spot, for anything we needed in that moment.

From nursing our Sivi, a crazy little dog who got hit by a car, through grape juice making, wood collecting & cutting for our winter stove heater, marking a hiking trail, fruit picking, jam making, housesitting, to snowstorm survival and constant snow cleaning, these people showed their big hearts and their consciousness of the local community they belonged to for a while.

We will never be able to forget our exciting game nights, wine tasting, movies, dinners together, and many things we shared with all of you. So, this is an ode to you all, expressing our enormous gratitude.

At the same time, it is a call for all of you out there who have these above-mentioned goals when finding a remote home for a short or long time.

Our co-living season has just started, and we can’t be more ready and happy to welcome you! Get your quote at this link. Welcome!
